Team BK-nusprig

A day at the BK-nusprig drive-in

Heiko Terfloth, Fullstack Developer - Jun 30, 2022

We are Team BK-nusprig. First things first. The name is maybe just a little bit inspired by a famous fast-food chain. Once upon a time, we called ourselves ‘knusprig’ (like ‘crunchy’).

Currently, we are six people working together on a daily basis. There are four full-stack developers, one wonderful UX/UI designer, and our PO, the only lady so far. Also when we need it, we have an agile coach and a UX concepter.

Some of us are early birds, but we also have a long-sleeping Fabian. And there is Tjark who takes care of puppies from 4 pm. We are rather extroverted than introverted. Surely bad jokes are mandatory. And we are honest, hate bullshit talk, and are passionate about what we’re doing.

So enough with the formality. Our work is just brilliant. All-day long we are seeking good (not perfect) solutions for both sides, our customers and our business. We are questioning why we are doing what we are doing (no monkey business) and we cherish team members who share their own opinions and approaches, giving independently suggestions on problems. Some more keywords about our work: less abstraction, more functional. Readability and maintainability.

And what exactly are we working on? All the critical stuff to order products smoothly and conveniently once customers are sure “I wanna have THIS”. That includes mainly the basket, wishlist, checkout, and the customer center. On everything we are working on we are putting an emphasis on finding the solutions for the problems within the team, testing stuff, measuring stuff, and detecting problems along the way to solve them in the future.

Why choose Team BK-nusprig? We are more practicable rather than theoretical. We value the advantages of organized work and documentation - without overdoing it. We work in a way that feels best for the team - not blindly following a trendy framework that doesn’t quite fit.

We could go on about why we are the greatest team, but we are sure you are already convinced. Why not check out our open positions?
