Primary responsibilities involve developing and maintaining customer-facing features and components across Content Management, Advertising and Customer Relations. Additionally, promotional product pages, marketing features and SEO initiatives will fall under the ownership of our team.
To expand our team, we are seeking another Senior Backend Engineer (f/x/m) proficient in PHP and Backend technologies.
We work remote, distributed, together: Whether fully remote within Germany or on-site in our offices in Berlin & Erlangen - always as a team, always customer-oriented and data-driven.

We are constantly working on improving our customers’ satisfaction through landing pages, specialized tools for accessing our assortment, helpful content and guides, as well as easily reachable contact points to our customer service.
You’ll drive pivotal projects from development to production launch, including landing pages enhancements and expansion of marketing campaign features.
Implementation and maintenance of new and existing Product features.
We conduct thorough automated unit and integration tests to maintain high-quality standards, extended with manual testing as well. Quality assurance is a top priority for us.
You’ll help propel the team forward, leading technical solution planning and ensuring project goals are met within expected timelines
You’ll engage and collaborate with stakeholders and other engineering teams on business-critical projects and features
At least 5 years of current work experience as a Backend Engineer working with PHP
Proficiency in OOP concepts, common design patterns, and complex database structures
Fluency in testing frameworks such as PHPUnit
Experience with common PHP frameworks such as Symfony is advantageous
Experience in managing code and dependencies with Git & composer
Hands-on experience with React is a plus, but not required
Shop-Backend: We are on PHP 8.4. We take full responsibility for our framework and adhere to established standards (e.g. PSR) during development.
Shop-Frontend: We use React & Typescript on the client side while leveraging Tailwind for styling and design.
MySQL & Memcached provide our customers with reliable and fast data.
