Are you passionate about creating high-quality mobile applications and ensuring a flawless user experience? With at least 5 years of experience in mobile software quality, are you ready to help elevate our team to new heights? Thomann is on the lookout for a skilled and experienced Senior Mobile App Quality Engineer to join our team. You can work with us in Berlin, in Erlangen, or remotely within Germany, Spain or France contributing to the enhancement of our mobile app quality standards. We need a professional who can effectively collaborate with diverse teams, demonstrate leadership, and introduce innovative approaches.


Here’s what you’ll be doing

  • Develop and implement quality standards and objectives for our mobile applications (iOS + Android through React Native).

  • Design, build, and maintain an efficient automated testing environment for mobile apps, focusing on continuous education of best practices to our software engineering team.

  • Work closely with mobile developers, system architects, and product owners to ensure the delivery of a high-quality mobile app.

  • Promote a robust testing culture across the organization to maintain a focus on quality.

  • Interface with the support team to evaluate and prioritize issues based on their impact and severity.


What you should bring to the table

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in software quality engineering, with a specific focus on mobile applications.

  • Strong experience with mobile app development technologies, particularly React Native and TypeScript.

  • Proficiency in testing frameworks and tools such as Detox, Appium, or similar technologies.

  • A track record of working effectively in an international context with various teams and stakeholders.

  • In-depth understanding of QA methodologies, practices, and tools, with hands-on experience in writing end-to-end, integration, and unit tests for mobile apps.

  • Passionate about mobile software quality and dedicated to delivering an exceptional user experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage projects with multiple international stakeholders.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English (C1+), proficiency in other languages is a plus.

2. Technical interview

3. Tryout task & debriefing

You'll receive a task that would fit your new role. You'll be asked to prepare the task either at home or live with some of our team members. Afterwards, there will be a debriefing with team members from your future department.

4. Leadership interview

Last, you'll get to know some team members of our leadership community. If this is a fit, too, you'll receive an offer from us.

Our offices

Remote. Distributed. Together.

Work from home or any of our offices. Our team is 100% remote and will stay this way. You need a stable internet connection and your laptop. Currently our way of work supports the EU.

Treppendorf

Our Thomann headquarters. Just a few minutes’ drive outside of Bamberg. Come by to visit our shop or meet with colleagues outside of tech & data.

Berlin

Our thomann.io office in the heart of Berlin. Easily reachable at Rosenthaler Platz. Perfect for workshops and team building.

Erlangen

Our thomann.io office in Nuremberg's metropolitan area. Just a few minutes by foot from Erlangen station. Nice, quiet location to do some deep work.
