Here's the deal

We are Team Toolster. We are the Swiss Army Knife of Thomann.io, but the fun version of it.

As part of the Tech & Data Team we develop and maintain the practical tools used by many different departments to bring our webshop to life.

Currently, we are seven people working as a cross-functional team on a daily basis:

  • Dawid and Ömer are our Full-Stack Developers and implement new features on a daily basis.

  • Domenic is our Backend Developers taking care of our APIs and business logic.

  • Sascha is our Engineering Manager, he provides technical support and ensures a productive and happy work environment.

  • Julien is our Product Owner, communicating with our stakeholders to make sure we develop the right things in the right order.

  • Enrico is our Agile Coach, he provides valuable support to our team and guides us towards self-awareness and continuous improvement.

To strengthen our team, we are seeking another (Senior) Full-Stack Developer (f/m/d) proficient in Laravel and Vue3.

We work remote, distributed, together: Whether fully remote (CET +/- 2h) or on-site in our offices in Berlin & Erlangen - always as a team, always customer-oriented and data-driven.

You want to learn more about our team? Take a look at our blog article.

Here’s what you’ll be doing

  • We are constantly working to improve our customers' experience by supporting our internal processes from the moment content is needed until it's online visible in the webshop.

  • We digitize complex workflows and take care of the tool landscape.

  • We work with agile methods and processes that allow us to constantly improve ourselves and our collaboration. Agile coaches show us new perspectives and help us with new impulses.

  • There are things which can be done better by others, so we work closely with external partners and internal departments.

  • We also perform unit & integration tests, as well as manual tests to ensure the quality of our releases.

What you should bring to the table

  • At least 4 years of current work experience as a developer in PHP with Laravel and TypeScript with Vue.

  • Skilled with OOP concepts, common design patterns and complex database structures.

  • Manage code & dependencies with git, composer & npm. Code quality is important to you, ideally secured by automated tests.

  • Code reviews do not scare you, but serve as a basis for improving your knowledge.

  • Self-initiative and a sense of responsibility are important to you. You are constantly working on yourself.

  • Open for new things and a team player. We win together and we fail together.

  • You speak fluent English.

Our tech stack

  • Our tools are written in PHP, Laravel, Vue, Typescript and TailwindCSS using the latest versions.

  • We build our frontend using Vite.

  • We use PHPUnit, Mockery, Vitest, CodeceptJS and Playwright to test our code.

  • With Docker and Openshift, we are on our way to a container future and make the port of Hamburg look weak.

  • MySQL & Redis provide our customers with reliable and fast data.

What we have to offer

  • Flexible working hours and location, with the option to go into the office (fully-remote possible)

  • 13th salary in November

  • Further training opportunities with clear development paths for your career

  • Thomann.de employee discount

  • Personal work equipment according to your wishes and regarding your role

  • Regular team events

  • English or German language courses

  • 1:1 sessions with an external coach, for professional development

  • Urban Sports Club discount
