We are the Tech & Data team, consisting of 7 system operators and 25 software developers, working in an agile environment. We are supported by coaches and project managers.
Thomann.de, the world’s biggest retailer of musical instruments and equipment wants to reach for the sky, or at least for the clouds. That’s why we are looking for your support to help us migrate to the cloud.
If topics like Kubernetes, Terraform, and Google Cloud make you smile, you are the one we are looking for! Join our team as a Cloud Engineer (f/m/d).
You can either join us remotely in one of the following countries (Germany, UK, France, Denmark, Spain), or work from one of our offices in Treppendorf, Berlin, or Erlangen. If you want to learn more about us as a company, definitely check out thomann.io.
You'll support us to migrate our webshop (and all connected systems) to the Google Cloud
You'll play a central role in shaping the future infrastructure of thomann.de
You'll help our development team to develop their application cloud-native
You have spent at least two years with your head in the Google Cloud
You are able to define our cloud infrastructure with intermediate knowledge in Terraform
You know your way around application deployment in Kubernetes, e.g. with Helm
You are able to convey your knowledge to your colleagues, for example in workshops
Nice to have, but not a deal breaker, are skills in PHP (our shop language), Go or Python (for CI and automation)
You can learn more about our techstack on StackShare.
Flexible working hours and location (fully remote possible)
13th salary in November
Further training opportunities with clear development paths for your career
Thomann discount for employees
Personal work equipment according to your wishes
Regular team & personal meetings, e.g. Open Space or at conferences
English or German course and external coaching
Urban Sports Club discount
The first interview with one of our recruiters helps both of us to see if our ideas and values match.
You'll get to know a part of our team and get a chance to score with technical knowledge. In addition, you can ask anything you want to know.
You'll receive a task that would fit your new role. You'll be asked to prepare the task either at home or live with some of our team members. Afterwards, there will be a debriefing with team members from your future department.
Last, you'll get to know some team members of our leadership community. If this is a fit, too, you'll receive an offer from us.
Work from home or any of our offices. Our team is 100% remote and will stay this way. You need a stable internet connection and your laptop. Currently our way of work supports the EU.
Our Thomann headquarters. Just a few minutes’ drive outside of Bamberg. Come by to visit our shop or meet with colleagues outside of tech & data.
Our thomann.io office in the heart of Berlin. Easily reachable at Rosenthaler Platz. Perfect for workshops and team building.
Our thomann.io office in Nuremberg's metropolitan area. Just a few minutes by foot from Erlangen station. Nice, quiet location to do some deep work.
