We are the Thomann.io Data Division, a group of people from the fields of Data Analytics/-Science, Data Engineering, Digital Analytics and Measurement. Our mission is to expand our cloud-based data warehouse to create data driven added-value in almost all essential business areas, such as our website and app, marketing, purchasing and logistics.
In addition to the areas mentioned, our Business Intelligence (BI) team is currently establishing itself and needs support, therefore we are looking for a talented (Senior) BI Analyst/Engineer (f/m/x) to join our team either in Berlin, Erlangen, or remotely within Germany.
An expert in BI development - designing and implementing solutions that translate data into user-friendly and consumable data (marts) is your core strength.
A semantic lover - developing and maintaining business logics (semantic layers) as a result of data transformation into BI systems gives you that certain something.
Analytical to hell - without crunching data, understanding its content (literacy), generating insights from it and presenting them to your stakeholders, getting up in the morning makes no sense for you.
The trailblazer - your stakeholders don't know their KPIs or are unsure? No problem, you can put yourself in their shoes and work with them to define KPIs that drive their business forward.
A communicator - coordinating with Data Engineers and Analysts makes just as much sense to you as regularly exchanging information and presenting your work progress with them. You can also handle a call with external providers without a breakdown.
A SQL Ninja - you know it and you love it. The start time of a query until the result is delivered is the worst time of the day for you.
A problem solver - the data is not there (yet) or different than expected? No problem for you, you have the drive to help out in our other Data Units.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the BI environment
Developer/Analyst experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker or Qlik
Experience with data transformation tools such as dbt, Airflow or Dataform
Very good knowledge of SQL and good knowledge of on-prem databases (e.g., MySQL, MSSQL etc.)
Experience in Cloud Computing Platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP
Your are fluent in German (C1).
Flexible working hours and location, with the option to go into the office (fully-remote possible)
13th salary in November
Further training opportunities with clear development paths for your career
Thomann.de employee discount
Personal work equipment according to your wishes and regarding your role

We pride ourselves on being an inclusive employer that creates a welcoming atmosphere, and value diversity in our teams. We do not make judgements based on ethnicity, nationality, age, marital status, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability status, or religion.
The first interview with one of our talent acquisition managers helps both of us to see if our ideas and values match.
You'll get to know a part of our team and get a chance to score with technical knowledge. In addition, you can ask anything you want to know.
You'll receive a task that would fit your new role. You'll be asked to prepare the task either at home or live with some of our team members. Afterwards, there will be a debriefing with team members from your future department.
Last, you'll get to know some team members of our leadership community. If this is a fit, too, you'll receive an offer from us.
Work from home or any of our offices. Our team is 100% remote and will stay this way. You need a stable internet connection and your laptop. Currently our way of work supports the EU.
Our Thomann headquarters. Just a few minutes’ drive outside of Bamberg. Come by to visit our shop or meet with colleagues outside of tech & data.
Our thomann.io office in the heart of Berlin. Easily reachable at Rosenthaler Platz. Perfect for workshops and team building.
Our thomann.io office in Nuremberg's metropolitan area. Just a few minutes by foot from Erlangen station. Nice, quiet location to do some deep work.
