We are the Tech & Data Team. We are a colorful mix of developers, system administrators, designers, product owners, agile coaches, data engineers and many more. Whether from our offices in Erlangen and Berlin or remotely: We work every day to provide an unique and inspiring e-commerce experience for our Thomann customers worldwide.

Here’s what you’ll do

  • A team of 6 designers, devs and coaches awaits you.
  • As a team you identify problems and opportunities in your subject area and solve them.
  • You inform stakeholders in a transparent and data-driven way about approaches, progress, risks and problems.
  • You play an important role in developing our test & learn strategy and define and test your hypotheses qualitatively and quantitatively.
  • You motivate and inspire people by being your honest, authentic self.
  • You are the team’s rock if it gets a tad stressful around Christmas or Cyber Week.
  • You own the backlog, overlook the development process, and understand your team’s decisions.

Skills you should have

  • Several years of experience either in a product management role or as a project manager
  • Extensive knowledge about common e-commerce KPIs as well as experience in planning, executing and interpreting A-B-tests
  • Good grasp of UX and economics and be brave enough to interview customers directly
  • Experience with agile processes and methods as well as motivation to develop them further
  • Proficient English language skills and fluent in German

  • What are the goals of our product vision?
  • Who are our users and customers?
  • How do they behave in using thomann.de and our app and what can we learn from that?
  • In which fields does our competition evolve and what are upcoming trends in the e-commerce sector?

Tools and Techniques

  • Our daily work happens in Jira, Confluence, Splunk, Google Analytics, Zeplin and Github
  • We communicate via Slack and collaborate via G-Suite and Mural (nice colleagues only!)
  • Our teams work in 2 week iterations with Scrum, Kanban or anything in between

1. Getting to know you

The first interview with one of our recruiters helps both of us to see if our ideas and values match.

2. Technical interview

You'll get to know a part of our team and get a chance to score with technical knowledge. In addition, you might ask anything you want to know.

3. Tryout task & debriefing

You'll receive a task that would fit your new role. You'll be ask to prepare the task either at home or live with some of our team members. Afterwards, there will be a debriefing with team members from your future department.

4. Leadership interview

60 minutes
remote or in office

Last, you'll get to know some team members of our leadership community. If this is a fit, too, you'll receive an offer from us.

It might occur for some positions that we adjust the process. This means you might get to know some more team members or get a more detailed chance to see your new role in action.

Remote. Distributed. Together.

Work from home or any of our offices. Our team is 100% remote and will stay this way. You need a stable internet connection and your laptop.

Treppendorf

Our Thomann headquarters. Just a few minutes drive outside of Bamberg. Come by to visit our shop or meet with colleagues apart from tech & data.

Berlin

Our thomann.io office in the heart of Berlin. Easily reachable at Rosenthaler Platz. Perfect for workshops and team building.

Erlangen

Our thomann.io office in Nuremberg's metropolitan area. Just a few minutes by foot from Erlangen station. Nice, quiet location to do some deep work.
