From our headquarters in Iserlohn we’re specialized in application development in the entire digital Thomann network, which currently includes around 30 websites with a total of more than 20 million page views and over 3 million visitors per month.

Our teams work with modern web frameworks to constantly explore beyond standards.

Your tasks

  • Being part of a team that is responsible for developing awesome new websites and fancy apps.

  • As a frontend developer, you will create user interfaces based on tailored UI designs.

  • You will work in an agile scrum environment, doing reviews and retros where you can bring positive impulses and ideas to meetings.

  • In an open feedback culture as well as regular code reviews you will share your knowledge with your teammates.

  • Writing your code well-structured to be easily reusable and extendable.

What you offer

  • You have already worked on complex web projects.

  • You are fit with state-of-the-art and proven web technologies (JS/TS, HTML, (S)CSS, PHP)

  • You can handle Git and Github

  • Self-initiative and independent working are well known for you

  • Willingness for constantly self-development

Desirable, but not essential, is experience with:

  • CSS: TailwindCSS or other CSS frameworks, SASS/SCSS, BEM

  • Templating engines like Blade or Twig

  • JS/TS: VueJS or similar JS frameworks, AlpineJS

  • Wordpress or similar CMS

  • roots.io Bedrock/Sage workflow

  • Dealing with Wordpress custom taxonomies and post types, Rest API and ACF

  • WooCommerce

  • Module Bundler like Webpack, Laravel mix and Vite

  • Dependency and package manager like npm, yarn and Composer

Our application process

1. Getting to know you

The first interview with one of our recruiters helps both of us to see if our ideas and values match.

2. Technical interview

60 minutes
you & specialists

You'll get to know a part of our team and get a chance to score with technical knowledge. In addition, you can ask anything you want to know.

3. Tryout task & debriefing

60 minutes
you & specialists

You'll receive a task that would fit your new role. You'll be asked to prepare the task either at home or live with some of our team members. Afterwards, there will be a debriefing with team members from your future department.

4. Leadership interview

60 minutes

Last, you'll get to know some team members of our leadership community. If this is a fit, too, you'll receive an offer from us.

We might adjust the process for some positions. This means you might get to know some more team members or get a more detailed chance to see your new role in action.

Our offices

Remote. Distributed. Together.

Work from home or any of our offices. Our team is 100% remote and will stay this way. You need a stable internet connection and your laptop. Currently our way of work supports the central European timezone +/-2h.


Our Thomann headquarters. Just a few minutes’ drive outside of Bamberg. Come by to visit our shop or meet with colleagues outside of tech & data.


Our thomann.io office in the heart of Berlin. Easily reachable at Rosenthaler Platz. Perfect for workshops and team building.


Our thomann.io office in Nuremberg's metropolitan area. Just a few minutes by foot from Erlangen station. Nice, quiet location to do some deep work.
