Hey there, we are the Data Team at Thomann.io, a colourful group of data analysts, data engineers and measurement specialists. Our mission is to expand our cloud-based data warehouse in order to create added-value in almost all essential business areas, such as for our website and app, but also in marketing, purchasing and logistics.
To strengthen our squad, and to continue to build our reporting landscape while starting to provide self-service analytics solutions to our stakeholders, we are looking for a talented Business Intelligence Analyst (f/x/m) to join our team either in Berlin, in Erlangen, or remotely in one of the following countries (Germany, UK, France, Denmark, Spain).
Collect, analyse, interpret, and visualise data from different data sources of essential business areas such as purchasing, logistics or customer service to provide insights and recommendations for improvements.
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor (y)our progress towards business goals, based on KPIs defined together with your team and stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
Continuously improve our data integration processes and compositions logics, by working closely with our data engineers.
Become an agile component of our analyst squad and contribute to the all-over improvement of our agile processes.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to e-commerce and business intelligence.

You have 4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or related fields such as Digital Analytics or Data Science.
Fluency in both English (C1+) and German (C1+) is mandatory. You can give presentations about Data topics in both languages.
You are experienced in researching data sources, understanding and transforming them into meaningful dashboards, ideally in tools like Looker (Studio), Tableau or Qlik.
You can conduct ad hoc analyses to support business needs and initiatives.
You are able to write efficient, accurate and consistent SQL queries, and can understand database structures in both cloud and on-premise environments.
You have worked closely with data engineers and can translate the data needs of your stakeholders into their language.
You have the ability to work autonomously, are a good communicator, and keep your stakeholders up to date on the latest developments in your projects.

You'll receive a task that would fit your new role. You'll be asked to prepare the task either at home or live with some of our team members. Afterwards, there will be a debriefing with team members from your future department.

Work from home or any of our offices. Our team is 100% remote and will stay this way. You need a stable internet connection and your laptop. Currently our way of work supports the EU.
